4/3/2024 - Kingman (Route 66)

 

In April of 2024, me and my family went on a awesome road trip along the Route 66 in Arizona.  Our first stop was Kingman, AZ.

This is the visitor center for all your route 66 stuff.  There are two little stores and a museum upstairs, 120 W. Beale Street.  There is also a little area that has a display of the man who started of route 66 Arizona.  His name is Angel.

This is Steam Engine #3759 Locomotive.  This was used to take people from California to Illinois.  This is across the street from the visitor center, Beale Street and Andy Devine.

Here is my mom and me in front of the Kingman Route 66 sign.  It is located in the parking lot of the visitor center.

Around town we saw a few buildings on route 66.  They were water tanks, Hotel Beale and the Kingman train station.

While we went out to dinner that night there was a car show going on in one of the parking lots.  We got to talk to the drivers of the cars and ask them questions.
